3D Animator & Science Communicator

Bryné Hadnott

Bryné Hadnott (they/them) is a recovering planetary scientist turned science communicator, producer, and 3D animator. Once upon a time, they were studying prebiotic molecules in atmospheric hazes for their PhD in planetary science at Johns Hopkins University. In 2019, they graduated with a master’s degree and pivoted to software engineering, developing image processing algorithms in Python for a Seattle-based remote sensing start-up. During the pandemic, they took a creative nonfiction class, fell in love with prose, and switched their career to freelance science writing. Since then, they’ve taken their passion for astronomy and love of writing to create stories that involve everyone in the joy of learning. Their work has been featured in Physics Today, The Planetary Society, and on the YouTube channel, Professor Dave Explains.
