The DuKode Studio, a creative computing company, seeks an intern to help on several digital projects. Of top priority is the expansion of the DuKode web site, http://dukode.com. Other projects include 3D scientific visualization, iPhone programming, wearable computing, and digital fabrication. The internship will start in the spring, with the possible transition to a paid freelance position.
The intern must be able to work off-site and meet with DuKode members once a week at DuKode’s Brooklyn studio. The intern must have working knowledge of Actionscript, HTML, PHP, and Joomla. Knowledge of one or more of these areas is also desirable:
– 3D modeling/animation (we use Maya)
– Compositing (we use After Effects and Adobe CS)
– Objective-C, C, Perl, and/or Actionscript programming
– Unix
– GIS (we use QGIS)
– Version control (we use Mercurial)
– Microcontrollers and circuits (we use PIC, Arduino, and we hack Wii remotes)
– Sewing and crafts
– Ceramics
– 3D printing and laser cutting
– Scientific visualization
