Shelby Lee

Shelby Lee (she/her) serves as 3D Animator for both DEMO DAY and THE PROTOTYPE, the first two films of THE GREAT TIT IS A BIRD. She received her BFA in 3D Animation & Motion Arts from Pratt Institute, and is currently pursuing a career in production management for animation or VFX. She has experience working as a 3D artist and designer on a wide range of projects, including jumbotron sports animations, independent films, and AR experiences. She is passionate about using animation and film as a vehicle for telling underrepresented and unique stories. Her thesis film depicted the pressures of growing up as a person of color under eurocentric beauty standards, and can be viewed here. Shelby also volunteers as the Head of Distribution at Asians in Animation, an international organization that aims to strengthen the Asian animation community, increase representation, and support emerging talent!
