Happy Juneteenth, Happy Pride, and Happy Last Day of Spring! It\u2019s been an unprecedentedly challenging year, but the team at THE GREAT TIT IS A BIRD is surviving \u2014 and happy to share a few updates with you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This past month, we released a trailer<\/a> and a behind-the-scenes discussion<\/a> of our film DEMO DAY (The Great Tit is a Bird, Part 1). Thanks to DuKode\u2019s spring intern Mia for producing, editing, and hosting the behind-the-scenes, and to Latasha, La\u2019Tonia, Bryn\u00e9, Jovanny and Ar for sharing their notes and favorite memories of the DEMO DAY production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also hosted a new edition of THE GREAT TIT IS A BIRD & UNSAFE SPACE as part of Inclusion Week<\/a> at York University\u2019s Center for Human Rights, Equity and Inclusion. Please email us for a link to this discussion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You don\u2019t have to identify as trans to be part the site, which includes profiles of film stars Laurence Fishburne<\/a> (THE MATRIX) and Daryl Hannah<\/a> (KILL BILL).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

THE GREAT TIT IS A BIRD won stuff! Thanks to the Telly Awards<\/a>, Asian Women Giving Circle<\/a>, Mid Atlantic Arts Cultural Sustainability: Community Roots<\/a>, and the Brooklyn Arts Council<\/a> for selecting THE GREAT TIT IS A BIRD as an awardee. And thanks to the York University Connected Minds<\/a> neural science research initiative for supporting THE GREAT TIT IS A BIRD with multiple awards. Our project was also included at Athens Animafest, the \u201cBiometrics & Cartoons\u201d workshop series in Toronto, InterAccess\u2019s Sustainable Practices<\/a> workshop series, and MIT Artfinity<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
