Engineer, Socially-Engaged Artist and Animator
Cam Mbayo
Cam (they/we/she) is a Congolese-born, Brooklyn-based engineer artist working at the intersection of culture and education. With double majors in Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science from Tufts University and a Master in Computer Networks from Columbia University Cam has worked in hardware, software and recently in animation with DuKode Studio. Curious about being in right relationships with land and each other; Cam discovered socially engaged art through fellowship with More Art, Culture Push and the Laundromat Project and has since worked on a pre-colonial inspired engineering education experience called Crafting Our Legacy.
