Ilias participated at the Banff Artist in Residence (BAiR) New Materiality; a program dedicated to contemporary art practice; challenging participants to engage with materials in unconventional ways and push the boundaries of traditional artistic mediums. The program was facilitated by co-curator of the 2017 Alberta Biennial and Walter Philips Gallery curator Peta Rake.
